THE CANALS OF VENICE

From a bridge, we can see this canal
and tip of a gondola. Bridges are everywhere in this city/island!

The first evening in Venice, we had the pleasure of sharing a gondola ride with Susan and Bill. We all quickly became good friends.

<<< Boat tickets from the mainland to the island. Here we go! I mean, "Andiamo!"

Right near our hotel, Hotel Mercurio, there was this little linen boutique that caught our eye. We decided to pop in and check it out. Turns out, not many people can splurge on such fancy linen, but we loved browsing anyway. The Frette brand is also available in the USA, though honestly, it’s still a bit out of our budget!
Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo

On our city tour with our friend and local tour guide, we were pointed to this building. Evidently a certain George Clooney was married here and more recently Jeff Bezos stayed here when he exchanged his nuptials.

CULTURAL IMMERSION

Venetian masks for the men and being playful on our walking tour.

Look! It's pizza, Coca-Cola, and a Aperol-Spritz in Venice.

Aperol-Spritz in Venice. Need I say more?
I had the pleasure of meeting Daniel, and he was so lovely! He even let me take a picture of his shirt. People in Venice really have a great sense of humor—such a fun crowd!

I absolutely loved the breakfasts on this tour! Every morning, I enjoyed a delicious croissant and a perfect cappuccino.
